Vikas Soppin is a young politician, contesting in Hubli Dharawad central constituency (73) from Aam Admi Party under the leadership of Mr. Aravind Kejriwal , Chief Minister of Delhi.
Born on 2 July 1976, Vikas is a son of shri Basavanteppa Soppin and smt Sumitra B Soppin. The youngest among two childrens. He completed his schooling fromModel High School, Navalgund, PUC from Kittle Science College, Dharwad and Engineering from Basaveshwar College of Engineering, Bagalkot. He has also completed his MIM (Masters in Marketing) from Karnataka University Dharwad. His immediate family consists of his gracious wife Manjula and his two children Siddhant and Shashank.
- He has taken active participation in Kalasa Banduri agitation and stood in favor of Hubli Dharwad people in bringing water to Malaprabha Basin so as to put an end to the crisis of clean drinking water.
- Strongly opposed the privatisation of Water Board.
- Made sure farmers get "BELE VIME" on time for the losses incurred by them
